Here\u2019s how the show is scheduled: new episodes drop first on Crunchyroll, Saturday mornings at 10:30am Eastern, and they then are dropped on FUNimationNow on a 1-week delay. Then there\u2019s the English simul-dub, which is starting on April 22 at 12:30am on Adult Swim, on a 3-week delay, which are then put up on FUNimationNow the following evening. So, for the sake of consistency and my own sanity, I\u2019ll only be going by the Crunchyroll schedule, since they\u2019re the ones that get first dibs on it. Because of that, I won\u2019t be fully covering the dub, although I will make mention of the dub during the next writeup, since that\u2019ll be the week of the dub premiere. Alright, enough of that, time to see Sasha kick some ass. Get it, homegirl!<\/p>\n

Things start out with our main trio in the Stohess district, discussing what\u2019s been happening with, you know, the wall breach. Armin poses a possibility to Eren and Mikasa: what if the Walls are made of hardened Titan skin? That would not only be completely crazy, but it would make complete sense in this world, given everything else that goes on here. As they\u2019re about to go out on their duties, the trio is joined by Levi (BOOOOOO) and Hange (YAYYYYY), as well as the crazy Wallist priest from before. I guess he has information that can be harnessed for the greater good, kind of like in a cop flick. Or rather to see the disturbing truth behind the Walls themselves. And Eren isn\u2019t too pleased over this news that the priest knew all about this deep, dark secret. Meanwhile, continuing off from last time, Sasha is heading off on horseback toward her home village, following a lead that this is where the Titans originated their trek from. And then we get a flashback of Sasha being a total savage toward one of her own family to get some food in her. All before witnessing a scene of her and her father having a deep talk; I, for one, can\u2019t wait to hear Ashly Burch put on a deep Texan accent for this scene. But back to the present day, Sasha\u2019s surprised to see that her village has changed drastically from what it was before. Oh, and there\u2019s a small Titan eating a woman inside one of the shacks, so what does Sasha do to it? HACKS ITS NECK WITH A CLEAVER. YES.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the Titan doesn\u2019t get decapitated, but Sasha manages to take the woman\u2019s child out of harm\u2019s way. But then her horse runs off. Things went from steady to deathly in a matter of seconds, and that Titan\u2019s coming out, so all Sasha can do is think on her feet and run off with the girl, grabbing a bow and arrows in the process. But before long, we look at another flashback scene, with Sasha getting scolded by Ymir just for being her usual weird self. Krista, I\u2019m sorry, but your waifu\u2019s kind of a bitch. And thankfully for all of us, Krista stands up for Sasha, but all Sasha can do is laugh the whole thing off. I\u2019m not sure what the point of this scene was, but hey, momentary levity. And with renewed confidence, she tells the girl to keep running before turning around and unleashing her inner Kagome toward the Titan, arrow after arrow being shot at the beast, right through its neck and its eye. It doesn\u2019t cause the beast to budge, though, so she goes \u201cf**k it\u201d and lunges her last arrow right through the Titan\u2019s other eye socket. HOMEGIRL, YES. And as fate would have it, Sasha finds her former fellow villagers roaming through the forest on horseback; what a nice reunion this turned out to be, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

Wrapping up this episode, we head back to see Conny and Reiner and the rest roaming thorugh the fields before arriving at a village, Conny\u2019s home village, only to see everything destroyed and in disarray. Sorry, Conny, your family didn\u2019t make it, but at least there\u2019s a Titan welcoming you back home. It won\u2019t be moving anytime soon, though, it\u2019s been gutted and stuck. How will the Survey Corps get out of this mess? Tune in next time to find out.<\/p>\n
